Steve, John and Vince inspected the classic 110’/33.5m Alden designed Palmer Johnson ketch KEEWAYDIN. WOW, what a beautiful pilot house ketch. The interior is hand rubbed, raised panel teak and white painted tongue and groove overhead designed by John Munford with 3 guest staterooms plus a redesigned proper 3 cabin crew layout.
The salon is gracious and oozes class. The pilot house has clear 360 degree visibility and comfort along with up to date electronics. Everything, inside and out is in impeccable condition even though she was built in 1996 for the owner of RMK shipyard.
On deck all is well proportioned and are in great shape. The split rigs are both in mast furllers with recent sail inventory. Her center board configuration allows an 8’6” draft or 18’ with board down.
Her interior, with full width Owner’s Suite plus two Guest Staterooms all with ensuite heads, was designed by John Munford in classic, raised panel, varnished mahogany, accented with marble and rolled leather. The interior was created in a traditional style that is all too rare these days. The décor is elegant in its simplicity.
KEEWAYDIN is larger sister of PEGASUS II
, the 92’ Alden designed Palmer Johnson ketch built in 1985, reported on this site with especially attractive pricing.
