Oyster Marine Sailing Yachts
It wasn't until 1979 that they introduced their first full cruising design the 39 flush deck/ center cockpit. In the following year the 46 deck saloon design was launched and Oyster had found their new niche.
Over the next two decades Oyster developed a full range of deck saloon designs from 46' to 88'. All of the designs are of a semi-custom nature and within the confines of the hull and deck design you are free to individualize most aspects of the interior layout, joinery woods, soft furnishings as well as deck gear, rig options and systems choices.
Building on their previous successes, Oyster in 2007, enlisted the Dubois design team on two new launches which would propel them into the superyacht world. These designs were a 100' deck saloon and a 125' flybridge. This was new territory for Oyster but they wisely chose to engineer these new designs with the materials and systems necessary to build truly world class yachts. Many companies looking to build larger yachts to accommodate their clientele will cut corners and essentially build a larger version of their existing 80 footer using the same materials and systems which were usually taken from an even smaller design. This was an important move for Oyster and their thoughtful execution has paid dividends.
Over the last four decades Oyster has developed one of the most comprehensive ranges of world cruising sailing yachts in the industry. With their foray into the large yacht category they now have a range that spans from 48' to 125'. They are a very impressive company which has built one success upon another. Their reputation for quality and exceptional customer relations is well deserved.
